Long Overdue Update

It has been a very, very long time since I have written anything and I thought it was about time for an update on our lives.

Since my last post we have made it through the end of 2012, celebrating Christmas with our families and trying to stay warm in some very cold temperatures. Andrew is still growing like crazy and every day it is more apparent that he definitely will have his daddy's height. Nothing seems to be safe from his reach anymore, even things on the counter tops.

Andrew's vocabulary has really expanded in the past month or so. He know says...this and that (when he wants to show us something or wants to know what something is), hot (yes we still have a chef and now everything is hot), choo choo, uh oh, roars like a lion, and best of all...Mom! He has also added both please and milk to his sign language skills which are very helpful. Our big boy has already been turned into a great State fan as well. Usually when he sees the mascot or the logo he will lift his hands in a touch down sign...Daddy is very proud of this.

We have been amazingly blessed by getting an official nap time routine down with our little guy as well. After a very long week of struggling I choose to just go lay him down in his bed one day, this was after a lot of crying and fighting and I knew he was exhausted. He cried in his bed for maybe 10 minutes and then slept for an amazing 2 hours. Since then this has been our routine and we are consistently getting 1.5 hour naps in his bed plus an occasional extend time of snuggling afterward. This has been such a blessing as it has eliminated a lot of daily stress.

Here are some update pictures for everyone...

We got a very large blizzard a few days before Christmas and Andrew just loved the snow.
Andrew was very entertained watching Daddy dig us out through the little window left in our front door.

 GO STATE!!!

 Fixing my tractor.
